Kingdom Hearts IV Stole The Show! The Biggest Reveals from the D23 Entertainment Showcase

Frozen III

Things are certainly changing in the fictional land of Arendelle. With the reveal of a third Frozen film, the details of the movie’s plot are kept under wraps— but we now know that Anna and Kristoff get married, a new villain is introduced and Olaf is getting a love interest named Samantha. The film is keeps the Thanksgiving tradition (by that, means Frozen III merchandise will be released in time for Christmas) of being released in theaters on Nov. 24, 2027.

Ahsoka Season Two

It is hard to believe that it has been three years since the debut of Star Wars series, Ahsoka. Season Two continues the story of Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) and her extraordinary journey beyond the known galaxy. As Ahsoka and her Jedi apprentice Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) travel across a mysterious and perilous world to find their way home, their friends must face the powerful Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen) and his sinister allies, who seek to plunge the New Republic into war. Hayden Christiansen returns as Anakin Skywalker, in this season he continues to advise Ahsoka. He challenges her and pushes her to answer the toughest question of her life. Ahsoka Season Two premieres on Disney + on January 20th, 2027.

Ghost Market

Pixar is taking a step back into the Supernatural with its new original film, Ghost Market. Pixar chief content officer Pete Docter revealed that Ghost Market will be a film that is inspired by Asian myths of stores where the living and dead interact. The film will haunt theaters in Spring 2028.

Star Wars: STARFIGHTER

Briefly teased at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, Ryan Gosling and Director Shawn Levy’s upcoming film, Star Wars: STARFIGHTER got brand new details at this year’s D23 Entertainment Showcase— Gosling will be playing the role of a pilot Kade. New footage was also shown, with Flynn Gray’s young man walking into a rusty spaceship garage. He uncovers a spaceship (almost looks like a speeder). Gosling’s Kade enters and says, “Didn’t I tell you not to touch anything?” The Jonathan Tropper penned screenplay is set at the future most point in the Star Wars timeline. Star Wars: STARFIGHTER will debut in theaters on Friday, May 27th, 2027.

Oswald

One of Walt’s earliest creations is getting his own three-episode limited series in OSWALD. Disney revealed a new look at the upcoming series, which is written, directed and executive produced by Jon Favreau. It is a live-action series that is combined with hand-drawn 2D animation, which will premiere on Disney + in February 2027. The cast includes Albert Brooks, Amy Sedaris, Kathryn Hahn, Steve Martin, Al Madrigal, Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Mykal-Michelle Harris and Ryder Allen.
