The official Twitter account for the Naruto and Boruto franchise announced on Friday that the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga will not be appearing in the October issue of V Jump Magazine, which will go on sale on August 21st.

Even though it is a brief hiatus, the manga is set to return in the November Issue, which goes on sale on September 18th. Fans across social media expressed their disappointment to the news, but many are hopeful that the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga would be adapted into a TV anime.

Boruto is the official spin-off to Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto, following the next generation of shinobi. The manga series debuted in 2016 before rebranding into its current arc, Boruto -Two Blue Vortex-, in August 2023. Shueisha’s MANGA Plus and Viz Media are both publishing the manga digitally, and Viz Media is publishing the manga in print. Studio Pierrot produced a 293-episode TV anime adaptation from 2017 to 2023, with a second installment currently planned. Additionally, Boruto and his peers feature prominently across Bandai Namco video games, including Shinobi Striker (2018) and Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections (2023).

The ninja adventures continue in this second series featuring Naruto’s son, Boruto!

Naruto was a young shinobi with an incorrigible knack for mischief. He achieved his dream to become the greatest ninja in his village, and now his face sits atop the Hokage monument. But this is not his story… The next generation of ninja stands in the swirling vortex of a new ninja age, with Naruto’s own son, Boruto, at the center!

In a cruel twist of fate, Boruto’s and Kawaki’s lives have been switched due to a powerful jutsu. Now branded a traitor, Boruto is on the run from his village and training with Sasuke. But when Konoha comes under attack, it’s time for a grown-up Boruto to return home and show how powerful he’s become!
