Marvel Ignites Hall H: Gosling’s Ghost Rider, New Black Panther, and Massive Avengers: Doomsday Reveal

Marvel Studios took over Hall H at SDCC 2026 with a blockbuster panel, unveiling major MCU updates. Kevin Feige kicked things off with an exciting look at the future, highlighted by the star-studded Avengers: Doomsday, Ryan Gosling’s new Ghost Rider film, and Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther 3.

Avengers: Doomsday

The cast and filmmakers for the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday (in theaters on December 18th) took to the stage in Hall H, where they treated fans to an exclusive look at the film and a free giveaway poster. In a surprise appearance, Deadpool popped up from the crowd, revealed to be Ryan Reynolds in costume. He asked questions to the cast with questions, even implying that he would like a role to play in the film. Before Doomsday arrives in theaters, fans will be able to catch the encore of the record-breaking film, Avengers: Endgame, which will be returning to theaters beginning September 25. Finally, a new trailer was revealed during the panel, teasing Doctor Doom taking on the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and the Avengers with an Army of Sentinels.

Black Panther 3

The next announcement struck an emotional chord. Ryan Coogler is returning to direct Black Panther 3, and he was joined onstage by Letitia Wright and Winston Duke to introduce David Jonsson (The Long Walk, Alien: Romulus) as the new Black Panther — T’Challa’s son. The film will follow the character as he grows up and comes of age.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day

Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be swinging into theaters in three days (July 31st), but actor Jon Bernthal took to the stage to discuss the upcoming film, teasing an exclusive look at the film, showcasing the relationship between his Punisher and Tom Holland’s Spider-Man as they face off against the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo).

Marvel saved one of the biggest surprises for last: Ryan Gosling is joining the MCU as Ghost Rider. Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy will helm the new film, arriving in theaters in 2028. The duo are already teaming up on Star Wars: Starfighter (in theaters May 28, 2027.)
