Seven Seas Entertainment Licenses Eleven New Titles

Publisher Seven Seas Entertainment announced during their Expo Panel the Licensing of Eleven New Titles. Eight Manga Titles and Three Light Novels, here are the titles that were announced:

They’re Back! Panty and Stocking Return For A New Anime Project!

It was one of the biggest shockers of the Expo. Studio Trigger announced during their panel, the return of the anime series, Panty and Stocking. The staff at the panel showed a short video featuring an animated shot and text with the phrase “NEW PANTY & STOCKING.” The videos featured the main characters each posing with both their middle fingers up. It’s the anime adaption fans have been waiting for years. Now, during Viz Media’s panel, a new Key Visual and a trailer were released, The video highlights the Stern Ritter characters. Kubo recorded a video message for fans at the panel, in which he said fans can expect modern contemporary coloring and a new and refreshing viewing experience with the new anime. He added he is closely involved with all aspects of the anime. Kubo also acknowledged that the anime thus far has omitted some scenes from the manga, but he wants to add them back in if possible. Director Shannon Tindle and Co-Director John Aoshima Share a Special Message Regarding The Upcoming CG-Animated Ultraman Film

Ultraman arrived on the scene, saving the Expo Crowd from the Swarm of Kaiju, who overtook the stage. The fans rejoiced and cheered!

During Saturday’s ULTRAMAN ARRIVES Super Anime Extravaganza Panel, Director Shannon Tindle and his co-director John Aoshima took to the stage to reveal the film’s latest concept art for the upcoming CG-Animated Ultraman Film, which was announced last year.

According to Tsuburaya Productions, The pair shared messages to fans, sharing the concepts behind the film, and what it is like to take a series like Ultraman with over 56 years of history, and turn it into CG animation in this modern age. Sharing their views on the project, director Shannon Tindle remarked “We are drawing inspiration from the original show… but it’s our own Ultraman, the same way you have Ultraman, Ultraseven, Ultraman Tiga, Ultraman Taro, Ultraman Leo—ours is inspired by anime.  And with the work, we’re doing now, deep in production… it’s going to be something very special.” Co-director John Aoshima commented “Ultraman is about courage, but the courage to try and be a better you.  This movie has me questioning what I can and should do in my life, to be like Ultraman. It’s very exciting.”

Ultraman To Crossover with Marvel Superheroes in a Brand New Mini-Series!

Another announcement from the ULTRAMAN ARRIVES Super Anime Extravaganza panel was the new Crossover Event with Marvel Comics! After discussing the upcoming Ultraman Comic Story titled “The Mystery of Ultraseven” (Fun Fact: Ultraseven will be celebrating his 55th Broadcast Anniversary in October!) Joining the panel was artists Mat Groom, and E. J. Su, who discussed the next chapter of the Ultraman Comic Series, later revealing that a crossover event is currently in the works. which would see Marvel’s Super Heroes like Iron Man, Captain Marvel, and Spider-Man, as well as Marvel Super-Villains too, finding their way into the world of the Marvel Ultraman comic. The stage erupted with excitement and applause as the panel closed with a reveal of concept art featuring our heroes poised for struggle.
