Sonic fans, rejoice! Paramount Pictures has unveiled a brand new poster for the upcoming Sonic movie, Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
It certainly has been an interesting week for fans of the video game series, Sonic the Hedgehog, first unveiling new footage during the Superbowl, and recently confirmed a third movie and a spinoff series. Now, Paramount is at it again, this time releasing a new poster that will not only highlight the main cast but also be a homage for long-time fans of the series.
Jeff Fowler will be directing once again, based on a script by Pat Casey & Josh Miller, and John Whittington, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 opens in U.S. cinemas on April 8th, 2022. The first film had the biggest opening weekend for a Video Game Movie in the United States and Canada, It grossed $319.7 million worldwide, becoming the sixth-highest-grossing film of 2020 and the highest-grossing video game film adaptation of all time in North America. Colleen O’Shaughnessey will be returning to the role of Sonic’s Best Friend and Sidekick, Miles “Tails” Prower. Also joining the gang will be Idris Elba as Knuckles the Echidna.
