Big news coming from the Official Twitter Account for the Sonic Movie, not only there was a new Poster Reveal but the first Trailer will make its debut on Thursday Night’s Game Awards Ceremony. Also making their way to the premiere will be Jim Carrey (Dr. Robotnik) and Ben Schwartz (Sonic The Hedgehog).
This is after a big reveal on Tuesday that Colleen O’Shaughnessey will be returning to the role of Sonic’s Best Friend and Sidekick, Miles “Tails” Prower. Also joining the gang will be Idris Elba as Knuckles the Echidna. Jeff Fowler will be directing once again, based on a script by Pat Casey & Josh Miller, and John Whittington, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 opens in U.S. cinemas on April 8th, 2022. The first film had the biggest opening weekend for a Video Game Movie in the United States and Canada, It grossed $319.7 million worldwide, becoming the sixth-highest-grossing film of 2020 and the highest-grossing video game film adaptation of all time in North America.
