Fans can’t get enough of Reiji Miyajima‘s Rent-A-Girlfriend Manga Series. In a new announcement from his Twitter account, the series sales have exceeded 10 million copies printed (physically) and sold (digitally). To celebrate the occasion, the Mangaka shared the news with a new illustration of Chizuru wearing a stunning red dress, it would certainly give Kazuya a heart attack. Reiji Miyajima also mentioned how much he wanted to draw an illustration like this for a while now.
The last time a new announcement regarding the Rent-A-Girlfriend sales was in April, where it exceeded 8 million copies printed (physically) and sold (digitally). The Manga is currently published in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Sunday Magazine as of July 2017 and has 24 Tankōbon Volumes as of December 17th, 2021. The series was picked up by Kodansha Comics for the English Version, it is currently on its 10th Volume and will be available on December 21st, 2021. It was so successful that the series had a spin-off manga published “Rent-A-(REALLY SHY!)-Girlfriend” that focuses on Sumi Sakurasawa, the manga was first published on November 9th, 2021.
The Manga was also adapted into a TV Anime that streamed on Crunchyroll at the same time it debuted in Japan, while the second season has been confirmed, the First Season is available to pre-order at Sentai Filmworks and will be released on December 14th, 2021. Also, don’t forget about the series will be getting a TCG series, thanks to Bushiroad and the Weiss Schwarz Trading Card Game Line.
