Big Changes have arrived for July’s NPD Bookscan Chart for Adult Graphic Novels according to ICv2’s Brigid Alverson, New Challengers have appeared! That’s right gang, this month’s chart is not all Manga! *GASP* three non-manga titles have appeared in the Top Ten. From Publisher First Second comes The Adventure Zone, based on the Bi-Weekly Dungeon & Dragons Podcast and recently made it on this month’s New York Times Best Seller List for Graphic Novels and Manga, taking Number Two for the Fourth Volume “The Adventure Zone: The Crystal Kingdom” and No.4 for the Hardcover Edition.
Next up is Yen Press’s Solo Leveling, this South Korean Manhwa made an appearance in March’s NPD Bookscan Chart at No. 14, the Second Volume however has appeared at No. 8 this month. Finally, the other seventeen titles in the Top 20 are manga, which includes two recent releases, Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia Volume 28 and Hideyuki Furuhashi’s My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Volume 10 are in the Top 15.
