It is officially June, and it begins Pride Month, where we celebrate LGBTQIA+ visibility. Also, to celebrate the contributions made by the LGBTQIA+ community. It is the same month as the Stonewall Uprising in New York in 1969. More information on that day can be found here.
Red’s Nerd Den salutes and honors the artists and creators in the LGBTQIA+ Community. We need to continue to stand up for what is right and show the importance of representation. It has come a long way, and there have been incredible improvements. However, as I have mentioned previously and in recent years, there have been politicians that have made policies that alienate communities of race and sexual identity under the guise of Patriotism and dwelling in the fantasy of Making America Great Again. Their actions are misguided and do not speak for what makes a Country great. Let’s continue to celebrate the success and creativity of these outstanding creators.
