Latest Avengers film being re-released with new footage, is it a great idea? Or another Cash Grab?
It looks to overthrow the Celestial King of the box office known as Avatar, it may have lost its momentum two months after it’s release but looks like it will get another chance to boost ticket sales and flex its muscles. It isn’t far off from Spider-Man: Far from Home’s release in July, this time with its re-release it is accompanied by ‘exclusive’ footage that didn’t make the cut in April’s release.
Marvel Studio’s Kevin Feige promises to include film not seen in theaters will be included, also to include a tribute to Stan Lee according to a new Synopsis from the theater CINEMARK.
“We are doing that,” Feige said of an Endgame re-release with new footage. “I don’t know if it’s been announced. And I don’t know how much… Yeah, we’re doing it next weekend. Not an extended cut, but there will be a version going into theaters with a bit of a marketing push with a few new things at the end of the movie, If you stay and watch the movie, after the credits, there’ll be a deleted scene, a little tribute, and a few surprises. Which will be next weekend.”Kevin Feige
Speaking as a fan, I do like the idea of something new but honestly, it sounds like another way to make a quick buck and to feed two companies’ massive egos and the CEO wallets. ~Red
