Project R.E.D.’s second installment has arrived — it’s time to raise your voice and awaken the BEAST! Kakusei Hunter Omegahorn roars onto TV Asahi on July 26 with a wild human × giant horned beast buddy story packed with hunter battles.
Cast:
Flame Shout/Captain Omegahorn– Sho Narahara
Our newest hero, Flame Shout, is a carefree treasure hunter well-versed in ancient scripts and relics. While exploring forgotten ruins, he uncovers the secrets of the mighty Horn Beasts — colossal creatures that once ruled the Earth. One day, Shout encounters Enkaku, the legendary Horn Beast King sealed within an Ego Gear.
Capable of taking human form, Enkaku recognizes Shout’s strong “Ego” and forms an unlikely partnership with him — forever altering the young hunter’s destiny and thrusting him into the high-stakes world of Hunter Battles.
Enkaku– Masato Kunigami
The ancient Kakuzyu King, sealed away in an Egorgear discovered by Shout. While originally a gigantic Kakuzyu, he usually acts alongside Shout in human form, appearing as a demi-human.
He behaves with dignity befitting the king of the Kakuzyu, but having slept for a long time within his Egorgear, he is unfamiliar with modern civilization. He sees the kingly quality of “ego” in Shout, and guides him towards becoming a true captain, sometimes clashing with him along the way.
Giriko, the Wave-Slasher– Nanaha Itose
Giriko is a Horned-Beast Hunter like Flame Shout. She is interested in both Shout and Enkaku, and keeps showing up in front of the two, but in the Hunter Battles that unfold wherever they go, she can be an ally or an enemy! She is skilled at fighting with a greatsword when she possesses herself with the power of the Kakuzyu Zankaku.
Ibaru of Despair– Shogo Tazuru
Ibaru is the charismatic leader of the Ibaru Alliance, possessing overwhelming power and commanding many hunters. Driven by his intense ego, he dispatches hunters to neighboring countries in an attempt to seize control of the world, expanding his territory. Ibaru himself is a martial artist, and engages in battles using a special Kakuzyu Awakener device and Zetsuenkaku’s power.

Zetsunkaku– Eito Konishi
Zetsuenkaku possesses absolute self-coinfidence and a powerful presence that belies his appearance. Unlike the other hunters and Kakuzyu that follow Ibaru of Despair, he treats him as an equal. He usually takes on a human form, just like Enkaku. His relationship with Enkaku remains shrouded in mystery.
What is PROJECT R.E.D.?
Taking its name from the initials of ‘Records of Extraordinary Dimensions,’ PROJECT R.E.D. is a new saga of Multidimensional Heroism. True to its name, the initiative centers on ‘red heroes’ and aims to build a large-scale, interconnected universe where multiple titles crossover and expand into a cohesive, multifaceted world.
It’s a milestone in Japanese hero entertainment — the first major shake-up of the Super Sentai broadcast slot in fifty years. It started with a bold new entry that rebuilt its world from the ground up with Super Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity, a reimagining of the classic 1982 Space Sheriff Gavan series.
