Following Japan Society’s Recent Event for Hideaki Anno’s Shin Kamen Rider, the entertainment content provider Fathom Events announced the addition of another viewing date for the Tokusatsu film, set for June 2023.
In an announcement made on Fathom Events Twitter Page, the content provider said that they have heard the fans, and by popular demand, they will be setting another viewing date for Shin Kamen Rider. The date has been set for June 5th. Select locations will now be able to participate.
Hideaki Anno directed, produced, and handled the screenplay. Katsuro Onoue is credited to be the associate director, with Ikki Todoroki as an assistant director. Famed Designers Mahiro Maeda, Ikuto Yamashita, and Yutaka Izubuchi are involved in the film. The designers have worked with Anno previously on previous projects such as Evangelion. Isao Tsuge is the Costume Designer and Taku Iwasaki is the composer. And finally, Shotaro Ishinomori has been created as the original creator. The film premieres on Wednesday, May 31st, 2023 at 7:00 pm local time.
As of last month, it has been confirmed by Anime News Network that Shin Kamen Rider has become the highest-earning Kamen Rider film in the franchise as of Sunday, earning more than 2.02 Billion Yen (US$15.2 Million). The Live-Action film debuted in Japanese Theaters on March 17th and ranked No.2 on its opening weekend. The film sold 345,000 tickets to earn 542 Million Yen (US$4.12 Million) in its first three days.
