You may be in for a surprise, but there is a rumor that SHOCKER is Operating in the United States! There is only one hero that can stop their nefarious plot, and he is almost here. Hideaki Anno’s Shin Kamen Rider is coming to US Theaters in May 2023!
How was that for ambiance? It was announced that Fathom Events and Toei are teaming up for the nationwide premiere event of Hideaki Anno’s Shin Kamen Rider for a special one-night viewing in the United States.
In addition to it coming to the United States, it has been confirmed by Anime News Network that Shin Kamen Rider has become the highest-earning Kamen Rider film in the franchise as of Sunday, earning more than 2.02 Billion Yen (US$15.2 Million). The Live-Action film debuted in Japanese Theaters on March 17th and ranked No.2 on its opening weekend. The film sold 345,000 tickets to earn 542 Million Yen (US$4.12 Million) in its first three days.
Hideaki Anno directed, produced, and handled the screenplay. Katsuro Onoue is credited to be the associate director, with Ikki Todoroki as an assistant director. Famed Designers Mahiro Maeda, Ikuto Yamashita, and Yutaka Izubuchi are involved in the film. The designers have worked with Anno previously on previous projects such as Evangelion. Isao Tsuge is the Costume Designer and Taku Iwasaki is the composer. And finally, Shotaro Ishinomori has been created as the original creator. The film premieres for one night only on Wednesday, May 31st, 2023 at 7:00 pm local time. Tickets will be available to purchase on Fathom Events Website starting May 5th.
