A line that struck fear into 90s kids and would bring joy to nostalgic adults. A brand new trailer recently debuted for the upcoming Netflix film Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always. In the newest trailer, Rita Repulsa is back and with a robot body! And it’s up to the Power Rangers to save the day once again!
The upcoming 30th Anniversary Special will feature Walter Jones (Zack Taylor), David Yost (Billy Cranston), Steve Cardenas (Rocky DeSantos), Johnny Yong Bosch (Adam Park), Karan Ashley (Aisha Campbell), and Catherine Sutherland (Katherine Hillard). Also, it was announced in the trailer that Richard Steven Horvitz (Angry Beavers, Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Helluva boss) will be reprising the role of Alpha 5 for the Anniversary Special, the special is set to premiere on April 19th on Netflix.
In February 1992, the sixth installment in the Super Sentai series titled Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger made its debut. It would become the first sentai series to be adapted for the first installment of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series. Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger would continue until February 1993. The footage from all 50 episodes would be used extensively in the Mighty Morphin series, which includes the core Zyuranger costumes used in three of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers seasons being used as the original costumes in the American series.
The Dragon Ranger’s costume was adapted into the Green Ranger’s costume and was used in season one and throughout early season two. Other elements from other Super Sentai shows were incorporated into the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers as well.
