The Rangers Reunite in the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 30th Anniversary Special

It’s Morphin Time! The Original Rangers are coming together again for a 30th Anniversary Special that will premiere on Netflix on April 19th.

Those Teenagers with attitudes are making a comeback. Netflix has announced a new, scripted, and stand-alone 30th Anniversary Special that will reunite the franchise’s most beloved Rangers, which include original stars such as Billy Yost, Walter Jones, and even Barbara Goodson, the voice actress of Rita Repulsa!

In February 1992, a sixth installment in the Super Sentai series titled Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger made its debut in Japan. It would become the first sentai series to be adapted for the first installment of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series. Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger would continue until February 1993. The footage from all 50 episodes would be used extensively in the Mighty Morphin series, which includes the core Zyuranger costumes in three of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers seasons being used as the original costumes in the American series. The Dragon Ranger’s costume was adapted into the Green Ranger’s costume and was used in season one and throughout early season two. Other elements from other Super Sentai Shows, were incorporated into the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers as well.

A new video was uploaded on the Official Power Rangers YouTube Channel, going behind the scenes of the upcoming 30th Anniversary Special, featuring familiar faces, including Walter Jones (Zack Taylor), David Yost (Billy Cranston), Steve Cardenas (Rocky DeSantos), Johnny Yong Bosch (Adam Park), Karan Ashley (Aisha Campbell), Catherine Sutherland (Katherine Hillard).
