Good Afternoon, and welcome to another edition of This Week In The Nerd Fandom. Today was the debut of Part three of Attack on Titan: The Final Season and the premiere of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Swordsmith Village in the U.S. Theaters. Also, a reminder for convention goers it is day two of Emerald City Comic Con, the event takes place from March 2nd to March 5th.

On March 4th, Image Comics will hold a new panel focusing on Creator-Owned Titles. It will be moderated by PopVerse’s Graeme McMillan. It will also feature the following creators, Shof Coker (NEW MASTERS), Meredith McClaren (BLACK CLOAK), Jeremy Haun (HAUNTHOLOGY), Shobo Coker (NEW MASTERS), David F. Walker (BITTER ROOT), Dustin Nguyen (LITTLE MONSTERS), and Kyle Higgins (RADIANT BLACK). They will discuss the new frontiers of storytelling and the secrets behind creating characters that leap off the page. If you’re in Seattle, be sure to stop by Room 342 at the Washington State Convention Center. The event takes place at 11:15 am.

Marvel Announces New 20th Century Studios Comic Book Imprint

Announced earlier today on The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel will be launching a Brand New Comic Book Imprint focusing on 20th-Century Studios. The new imprint will kick off with the Planet of the Apes Issue One, which will debut on April 5th, and will follow up with the Alien and Predator Comic Book Series. On the Planet of the Apes series will feature writer David F. Walker, Artists Dave Wachter, and Joshua Cassara (Cover Artist).


It’s Time For A Brand New Adventure! The latest Pokemon Season Gets a New Trailer and Visual.

It’s one of the most anticipated shows of 2023. The Latest Pokémon Season is set to debut on April 14th on TV Tokyo. We were greeted recently by a new visual and a new trailer, announcing that the first episode will be an hour-long special. The new season follows Lico, a young lady with a mysterious pendant, and Roy, a boy with a mysterious Poké Ball. They are assisted by a Battle-Loving Pokémon Professor named Friede and his Pokémon Partner, Captain Pikachu.

Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc to Premiere on April 9th

With To The Swordsmith Village premiering in U.S. Theaters, the newest season will be premiering next month. Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc is set to debut on April 9th, it will also be an hour-long episode. MAN WITH A MISSION and milet will be performing the Opening theme titled “Kizuna no Kiseki”.


Star Trek Discovery To End With Season Five In Early 2024

Star Trek Discovery, heralded as the return of a Star Trek scripted series in 2017, and Paramount Plus’s longest-running drama globally is now reaching the end of its journey with Season Five, set to debut in Early 2024. Here is a synopsis of what fans can look forward to in the upcoming season:

The fifth and final season will find Captain Burnham and the crew of the U.S.S. Discovery uncovering a mystery that will send them on an epic adventure across the galaxy to find an ancient power whose very existence has been deliberately hidden for centuries. But there are others on the hunt as well … dangerous foes who are desperate to claim the prize for themselves and will stop at nothing to get it.

One Piece Volume 105 Debuts New Promotional Video

The Newest One Piece Volume recently debuted in Japan, and a special promotional video premiered recently, highlighting the Strawhat Pirates and the new Sea Emperors. The newest volume collects chapters 1056-1065. It will be available in bookstores across Japan on March 3rd, 2023, and digitally on April 4th, 2023. As for English Fans, Viz Media will be releasing Volume 102 on April 4th, 2023. One Piece is available to read on Viz Media’s Shonen Jump App and Shueisha’s Manga Plus App.
