Sonic and his friends are about to go on a journey into the Shatterverse coming 3DCG Animated Series, Sonic Prime.
Last month, fans got a first look at not only see new Character Visuals and an updated cast list, but this time, we’re finally getting another new trailer ahead of next month’s premiere.
In the past, it was mentioned that Sonic Prime would consist of 24 Episodes. But according to Anime News Network, it will consist of one 40-minute episode and seven 20-minute episodes after that, as of this time, isn’t an official episode count. Man of Action Entertainment is serving as showrunners and executive producers, while Sega and WildBrain are both teaming up for production, distribution, and licensing.
Sonic Prime will be available on Netflix on December 15th, listed below is a brief synopsis:
“The action-packed adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog go into overdrive when a run-in with Dr. Eggman results in a literal universe-shattering event. Desperate to piece his prime reality back together and save his old friends, Sonic races through the Shatterverse, discovering strange worlds and enlisting new friends in an epic adventure of a lifetime!”
