“What’s that figure in the fog?..” It’s Konami bringing in a huge slate of Silent Hill News! Yesterday the Video Game Publisher blew people’s minds with the announcement regarding a Remake of Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill f. Let’s take a look at the newest announcements!
Coming to The Playstation Five and STEAM, Silent Hill 2 The Remake
Starting off the Transmission was a remake of one of the creepiest chapters in the Silent Hill Franchise, Silent Hill 2. Game Developer Bloober Team is developing the new remake with the help of original Team Silent artist Masahiro Ito and composer Akira Yamaoka.
Konami and Bloober Team has promised that it will be a fully reworked game that will be using new technology and be delivered in 4k. The new game will be released on Playstation 5 and Steam. The new remake will retell the story of James Sunderland, who is looking for his dead wife, who sent him a mysterious letter from the town of Silent Hill.
Silent Hill gets a Unique Spin-Off titled “Silent Hill: Townfall”
There’s one thing I will say about this franchise, it is certainly unique, and No Code Studios (Stories Untold) and publisher Annapurna Interactive will be showing off that unique side in Silent Hill: Townfall.
Launching in 2023, Silent Hill Ascension
The one thing about Silent Hill is that it can be an unpredictable experience, and this game coming in 2023 will prove it. Silent Hill Ascension is an immersive project where participants around the world will control the characters in a new Silent Hill story.
It is also a collaboration between Genvid Entertainment, Bad Robot Games, Behvaiour Interactive, and dj2 Entertainment. For more information on this game, head over to IGN.
Christopher Gans ‘Returns to Silent Hill’ With A New Upcoming Movie
Director Christopher Gans is set to make his return to one of the eeriest locations in Video Game Cinema. Return to Silent Hill is the third film set in the series. Details for the new movie are being kept under wraps for now, but Konami promises to release more information at a later date.
Ryukishi07 To Write For Upcoming Silent Hill Spin-Off, Silent Hill f
It was certainly one of the biggest surprises of Konami’s Silent Hill Presentation. It’s a spin-off that looks to explore the Silent Hill Lore, and who better to have for Psychological and Supernatural Horror than Ryukishi07? The creator of the When They Cry Novel Series.
Silent Hill f takes place during the 1960s in Japan. It will juxtapose a beautiful and terrifying world and focus on the psychological, and supernatural mysteries of Silent Hill.
