September’s Nintendo Direct: The Biggest Announcements

The Tokyo Game Show is coming up, but companies like Nintendo and Playstation aren’t waiting. They are giving the fans a taste of what will be coming their way soon. We’re going to focus on yesterday’s Nintendo Direct, including a game that wasn’t included in yesterday’s Direct Showcase. Please Note, that we haven’t included all the games from the Direct Showcase, for more information on that, please head to IGN.

Marth makes his return in Fire Emblem: Engage

Yesterday’s Direct debuted the newest chapter in the Fire Emblem game series. Fire Emblem: Engage will be focusing on a story set a thousand years after the four kingdoms sealed away the great evil known as The Fell Dragon. In Engage, players will become a Divine Dragon called Alear, who must work to collect Emblem Rings to “bring peace back to the continent of Elyos.” Along your journey, you will even be able to have other previous Fire Emblem characters join your party like Marth and Celica. The game will be available on January 20th, 2023.

It Takes Two makes its debut in November

You know the old saying, “It Takes Two To Tango,” but that’s the same case in EA’s newest co-op video game, It Takes Two. According to IGN, The game can be played on one system, on two systems via local wireless, or online with the included Friend’s Pass that lets you gift a free copy to your co-op buddy. The game will be available on November 4th, 2022.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3’s Newest DLC shows off a brand new Mechanical Hero, Ino!

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has a new Expansion pass coming up and with it are Challenge Maps, new outfits, and a cute new Mechanical Hero named Ino. The new DLC will be available on October 13th, 2022.

Coming soon to the West: Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse

It was a video game that was never released in the West. Fatal Frame Mask of the Lunar Eclipse was only available on the Wii in Japan back in 2008. But that will change in 2023 because it will be coming to the West! The story follows Ruka Minazuki, who must travel to an abandoned hospital to use the Camera Obscura to rediscover her lost memories and repel the evil spirits that will try to get in her way.

Available later this month, Tunic!

This video game drew inspiration from the Legend of Zelda. Now Tunic finally makes its way to the Nintendo Switch! That’s right, Tunic will be available on September 27th, 2022.

Sifu Brings On The Pain In November

Finally, Sifu is coming to the Switch! This Kung-Fu Brawler will be coming on November 8th, 2022. players must work to get revenge on those who wronged them, and every time you fall in combat, you will get older. However, you will also unlock new skills that may just mean the difference between victory and defeat.

Them’s Fightin’ Herds is Coming to The Switch!

It was a title that wasn’t mentioned in the Direct Showcase, but we’re adding it to the coverage anyway! Indie Game Developer, Mane6 is bringing their Side-Scrolling Fighter, Them’s Fightin’ Herds! to the Switch, and other consoles starting on October 18th.

Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, Fae Farm, and Harvestella are announced

While each game is by different developers, the main point behind it is all about Farming. We’re starting it first with the announcement involving the remake of Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, it will be released in Summer 2023 with a different name, Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life.

Next up is Phoenix Lab’s Fae Farm, an RPG about Farming! Four players can building and caring for your very own farm. Fae Farm takes placez in Azoria and players will need to use their skills and spells to help rebuild the world.

The final part of the Farm Gaming News is Square Enix’s Harvestella. Players have a chance to play the demo today. The best part? You can transfer the save to the full game when it launches on November 4th.

The First Splatfest will have Inklings choose Grub, Gear, or Fun!

The Moment has arrived for Splatoon 3 Players, the First Splatfest will be starting on September 23rd and run through September 25th. It will ask players to decide if they’d rather bring Gear, Grub, or Fun with them to a deserted island.

Golden Eye 007, Pokemon Stadium, Mario Party, and More Lead the Way for the N64 Expansion Pack!

Nintendo has answered the call! The Nintendo Switch Online’s Expansion pack brings nine new Nintendo 64 Games to the Switch. Goldeneye 007 (With Online Gameplay!) Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2, Mario Party 1,2,3, 1080 Snowboarding, and Excitebike 64 will also be joining the service in 2022 and 2023.

Resident Evil Village Cloud heads to The Switch this October

It’s the moment fans have waited for. The newest Resident Evil Games are coming to the Switch! Yes, it’s true! Fans finally get a chance to get a closer look at the latest RE game, Village (Available on October 28th). If it doesn’t get the blood pumping, then be sure to check out the demo today. Later this year, Switch owners will also gain access to cloud versions of Resident Evil 7 Biohazard, Resident Evil 2, and Resident Evil 3.

Pikmin 4 Finally Will Be Released In 2023

An old friend stopped by on Nintendo Direct. Shigeru Miyamoto shared the news on Pikmin 4, confirming it will be released in Summer 2023.

Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom to be released in May 2023

It is the game that everyone has been waiting for. The Breath of the Wild Sequel has a new name and release date. Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom will be released on May 12th, 2023.
