The Kombat continues in the newest trailer for the next chapter in the Mortal Kombat Legends Movie Series titled Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind. The new film was announced on IGN and will be focusing on Kenshi’s origins.
In the newest trailer, it looks like this film is borrowing elements from Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance, Deception, Armageddon, and X. The premise shows a town under attack from the cold-blooded Black Dragon Mercenaries, but one man would not back down from Kano’s ruthless behavior, Kenshi. But this is different from how Kenshi has been portrayed in the past. He is much younger and cockier until the soulnado takes away his sight, he then comes under the tutelage of Kuai Liang, who is now retired and reluctant to train Kenshi, but is also the only fighter powerful enough to challenge Kano.
Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind is produced and directed by Rick Morales, who also produced Scorpion’s Revenge and Battle of the Realms. Jeremy Adams, who wrote the previous two films, is back as the screenwriter of Snow Blind.
The Mortal Kombat Franchise celebrates its 30th Anniversary in October. The first video game was released on October 8th, 1992. There have been several live-action adaptions that included television and films. Also multiple animated films and an animated television series. Oddly enough, this animated film will be released on October 8th as well.
Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge, and Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms are available now on Blu-ray, Digital, and now streaming on HBO Max.
