Dragon Ball: The Breakers Gets A New Release Date, and a New Trailer Unveiling Frieza

Announced in Late 2021, Bandai Namco announced it was working on a new Dragon Ball-themed Survival Horror Video Game, Dragon Ball: The Breakers. Today, it has been confirmed that the video game will be set in the continuity of the Xenoverse Game World.

In the new trailer, we’re introduced to another major raid character that players will face, Frieza. It also details the game’s features, along with what will be available for pre-order.

The Survivor’s mission other than to survive is to escape a fracture in time that was made by the Super Time Machine while avoiding the clutches of the merciless Raider who wants to destroy the Survivors. Whether it is Buu, Frieza, or Cell, the survivors will need to level up, use items scattered across the map and use the skills they have at their disposal. And if they are lucky enough, the new move is called “Dragon Change.” It temporarily imbues you with the power of a Z fighter! By using those three tools at your disposal, choosing when it’s best to run, and when it’s best to stand and fight.

The Video Game will be released on October 14th, 2022 for the following consoles: PlayStation 4/Nintendo Switch/Xbox Series Consoles/Steam.

The game will launch on October 14th after a Closed Network Test where the newly announced Raider Frieza and the previously revealed Raider Cell will be available to play. Survivors will also have access to Oolong (Survivor Skin) and Bulma (Survivor Skin) during the Test. Details on when to play are listed below:

  • Session 1: Aug. 5 – 7:00 p.m. PT – 11:00 p.m. PT
  • Session 2: Aug. 6 – 5:00 a.m. PT – 9:00 a.m. PT
  • Session 3: Aug. 6 – 11:00 a.m. PT – 3:00 p.m. PT
  • Session 4: Aug. 6 – 7:00 p.m. PT – 11:00 p.m. PT

An Open Beta Test will be organized at a later date with more details to be announced soon.
