Bandai Namco is throwing their hat in the ring for a brand new survival video game, but with a fascinating idea to experiment with, Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball Series. We’ve grown accustomed to Dragon Ball being a brawler type of video game but now we’re seeing the franchise taken into a survivor-themed setting with Dragon Ball: The Breakers. According to the official website, battles will take place amongst eight players, where one will be the attacker called “Raider,” while the other seven players will be the “Survivors”.
The Survivors’ mission other than to survive is to escape a fracture in time that was made by the Super Time Machine while avoiding the clutches of the merciless Raider who wants to destroy the Survivors. Whether it be Buu, Frieza, or Cell, the survivors will need to level up and use items scattered across the map and use the skills they have at your disposal, and if lucky, the “Dragon Change” move, which temporarily imbues you with the power of a Z fighter! By using those three tools, choosing when it’s best to run and when it’s best to stand and fight. The Video Game will be released in 2022 for PlayStation 4/Nintendo Switch/Xbox One/Steam.
