During a special stage event to celebrate the success of Jujutsu Kaisen 0 in Japanese theaters and the success of the Jujutsu Kaisen Series as a whole, it was confirmed today that the anime series would be picked up for a Second Season, set to premiere in 2023.
With news that the season was currently in production and that Mappa will be returning to produce the animation, a reminder for American and Canadian fans that the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 film will be in theaters on March 18th, as of today, it is the ninth highest-grossing anime film in Japan.
To celebrate the occasion, the news of the second season, and to thank fans and readers of the series, Mangaka Gege Akutami drew a special illustration. The first season is currently available on Crunchyroll, Funimation, and HBO MAX.
