Two days ago, the Official One Piece Anime Twitter Account has announced that Veteran Voice Actor David Sobolov will be taking on the role of Kaido, the Fiercest And Strongest Creature Alive. This is Sobolov’s first anime voice-over role in twenty-five years, his first role was on the Classic OVA of Key the Metal Idol as Sergei/D. Since then, he has voiced over countless roles such as Drax the Destroyer in Marvel Animation’s Guardians of the Galaxy and as Gorilla Grodd in DC Comics’ CW TV series The Flash.
According to Anime Corner’s Marko Jovanovic, Funimation is releasing the English Dub episodes of One Piece in Batches. The next 14 episodes will release as Season 11, Voyage 9, and will include episodes 733-746. The batch was released in digital storefronts on October 5th (Microsoft Movies & TV). As for streaming, the new episodes will be available on Funimation on October 26. He will debut as the English dub voice of Kaido in these episodes, which will also mark the end of the Dressrossa arc of One Piece. Don’t forget, One Piece is nearing its 1000th episode with three more to go, you can watch the anime on Funimation or Crunchyroll.
