The newest TV Anime Adaption is about Romance, Comedy, and Cosplay. Yes, you heard correctly, the RomCom Manga by Shinichi Fukuda titled Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru (The Bisque Doll Fells in Love)/My Dress-Up Darling will be adapted into a Television Anime, a new 70-second Promotional Video was posted on its Official Website. My Dress-Up Darling tells the story of a girl named Marin Kitagawa (Voiced by Hina Suguta) who has always wanted to cosplay but has never been able to make a costume. While Wakana Gojō (Voiced by Shoya Ishige) has a dream, to become a “Kashirashi” (a Craftsman of the heads for traditional Hina dolls) is asked by Marin to make Cosplay Costumes for her.
My Dress-Up Darling was first serialized in Square Enix’s Young Gangan in January 2018 and Seven tankobon volumes are currently available in Japan. Square Enix announced it licensed the book for English Audiences and to be published in its new Publication Imprint, Square Enix Manga & Books. Volume Four is currently available to buy both digitally and physically. Crunchyroll recently reached out for comments from the voice actors, you can read their thoughts on the new series here. The new anime is set to premiere in January 2022, CloverWorks will be handling the Animation Production.
