Yesterday was the first day of the Electronic Entertainment Exhibition, better known as E3, this is the first E3 since 2019, last year’s E3 had to be canceled due to the COVID Epidemic. A couple of months ago, the Electronic Software Association stated regarding this year’s E3 conference to be moved to a virtual setting, promising that developers will be showcasing the latest news and games directly to fans around the world, the ESA plans to team up with Media Partners globally to help make it free and available to watch for free. Beginning the conference today was all about Ubisoft and Gearbox Publishing, let’s get to the coverage of today’s presentations by starting with Ubisoft.
Ubisoft Forward Presentation
Beginning this conference off with a BANG! is Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction. A Spin-off of Siege but with a PVE focus where the Siege Operators work together to take on an alien threat. This trailer showed players infiltrating an Alien Hotspot, where you’ll have to use new strategies to take them down. This is set to launch on September 16th.
This year, Ubisoft was focusing on to big things they are planning to Rainbow Six, Crossplay, and Cross-Progression for Rainbow Six Siege. The crossplay is set to begin on June 30th, will begin with PC, Stadia, and Amazon Luna while it will land on other platforms in 2022.
Next up, the music learning subscription service, Rocksmith +. Based on the original Rocksmith Video Games, this will consist of a huge song library that can be set to different speeds, to allow you to play along at your own pace. The game will let you learn acoustic or electric guitar, using a cable or a phone to listen to notes. Players can register for the Closed Beta today.
Ubisoft finally gave fans some clarity and closure on the newest game Riders Republic‘s release date, gamers can expect this game on September 2nd. Accompanied by a trailer to show what players can do in the game, It’s an Open-World Multiplayer Game where players can play with friends, have a career, and much more while competing in sports such as snowboarding, skiing, bike-riding, and even flying around in wingsuits. (Wingsuits? Say no more, you won me over.)
Launching November 4th is Just Dance 2022, loaded with 40 new songs, including an exclusive version of Todrick Hall’s Nails, Hips, Hair, Heels.
Accompanied by its second year of post-launch, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be getting a brand new DLC called The Siege of Paris. This will feature Evior as they lead their band of Vikings on an attack on the French Capital. The DLC is set to launch sometime during this summer.
The 2016 VR Video Game is about to get a Live-Action Adaption as Werewolves Within comes to the big screen on June 25th. If you’re not familiar with this game, you’re trapped in a snowstorm with the residents at an Inn, then a mysterious creature begins to terrorize the community. Another series they highlighted was a Television Series called Mythic Quest, about a team behind the biggest multiplayer video game of all time is tasked with building worlds, molding heroes, and creating legends, but the most hard-fought battles don’t occur in the game — they happen in the office. A reminder for fans, Ubisoft is venturing into the Anime Field, according to Netflix’s Geeked Week Presentation.
Ubisoft gives us an update on the next game in the Far Cry Series with Far Cry 6, this time meeting the Villain named Antón Castillo also makes a menacing, scene-chewing appearance, grabbing his son Diego from a fishing boat. Giancarlo Esposito is a great actor, and this scene was pure gold. The game will be coming on October 7th, also highlighting the new season pass for Far Cry 6, where you can play as villains from the game’s past.
The Rabbids are coming back for more as the popular turn-based video game gets a sequel as Mario+Rabbids Sparks of Hope! Coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2022!
The final part of Ubisoft’s Showcase was the newest game in James Cameron’s Avatar Franchise, Avatar Frontiers of Pandora finds us coming back to Pandora and playing as a Na’vi Protagonist taking on the Humans and their Giant Mechs. It’s a first-person, Open World Adventure Action Game that will be available on the next gen consoles and PC in 2022.
