E3 2021 Conference Day One: Gearbox

Next up on our E3 Coverage is Gearbox, some critics have described this as one of the most disappointing conferences but we’ll let you be the judge.

Getting a brief update on Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, so many familiar faces return including the farting Buttstallion. This trailer and description were also featured in Summerfest, Wonderlands will feature Tiny Tina as a dungeon-master in an adventure to defeat a Dragon Lord, and will include character customization. It’ll be coming Early 2022.

Valheim meets Diablo in Norsfell’s Tribes of Midgard. Promising a whole new genre, Tribes of Midgard mixes the resources and co-op of the survival genre with Viking mythology according to GameRadar and the Creative Director at Norsfell, Julian Maroda, “What we wanted to do was not to create something that’s crazy, experimental or crazy, like innovative on all fronts, it was more taking a lot of the ingredients of games that we really love, like, Don’t Starve Together – Valheim, we didn’t know about Valheim at the time – but games that we really liked, like Diablo, and then try to create something brand new that players would love and enjoy.” The game will be available for PS5, PS4, and PC on July 27th.

Godfall is next on the list, this game will be getting Cross-Gen Play for the PS4 on August 10th, also giving fans a chance to get a free Playstation 5 Upgrade when you pick up the Playstation 4 version of Godfall. Also, Fire and Darkness expansion was announced, alongside an upcoming Lightbringer update which will allow players to earn cursed loot and fashionable, new armor.

Even though I should have put this at the beginning but Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford and Director Eli Roth walk fans through a special behind-the-scenes look at Borderlands the Movie, confirming that it is 2/3rd’s of the film is done shooting.
