It’s the Heavy-Metal mashup that fans have been dreaming of for three decades, Transformers vs. The Terminator, The Hollywood Reporter reported recently that the Metal Titans are about to collide in March 2020! IDW Publishing is bringing the Iconic 80s Franchises together for a comic book miniseries.

Produced in a partnership with Publisher Dark Horse Comics, this will be a four-issue miniseries that will be written by the team of David Mariotte, John Barber and Tom Waltz; along with artist Alex Milne (known for his work on various Transformers Comic Books; including the Comic Book Adaptions of the Michael Bay Transformers Franchise.) This crossover has been described as “A way to revisit the concept of Alien Invasions, Time Traveling Resistance fighters but with a unexpectant twist.”

The First Issue will be released in multiple editions with Covers by Artists Galvin Fullerton, Alex Milne. The Retailer variant covers (Two Incentives) both limited edition by Artist Freddie E. Williams II (known for his work in the hit series that influenced the new animated film with the same name; Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) including one from Artist Francesco Francavilla (Afterlife with Archie, Star Wars Adventures). Below there was a statement from IDW Publishing gave THR regarding this new series, also included will be a Gallery for a better look at both Covers.
“I still remember the visceral thrill and terror of my first viewing of The Terminator, and while I’ve seen it a hundred times since then, it still gets my pulse running. I’ve worked on Transformers a lot over the years, and the opportunity to combine these two mechanistic universes together to see who comes out on top (while working alongside Tom, David and my old collaborator Alex, no less) — well, it’s way too exciting a chance to pass up.”
John Barber, Editor-In-Chief at IDW Publishing
