If you’re a Windows 10 User, its time to update your OS immediately.
In a new report from CNN Business, it was revealed today that Microsoft has issued an alert to all Windows 10 users, to update their Operating Systems due to two new “Critical” vulnerabilities. The Company had stated that these vulnerabilities were “wormable” and it would mean that affected computers would be able to spread the virus and malware without any action on the User’s part. It isn’t the first time that Microsoft had urged users to update their Operating Systems immediately; two months ago they had warned users to update due to BlueKeep. Simon Pope, Microsoft’s Director of Incident Response had mentioned that there were “Potentially hundreds of millions of computers that are vulnerable.” Also cited in his blog post on Tuesday:
“It is important that affected systems are patched as quickly as possible because of the elevated risks associated with wormable vulnerabilities like these, and downloads for these can be found in the Microsoft Security Update Guide.”Simon Pope, Microsoft’s Director of Incident Response
Windows 10 users that have enabled automatic updates are already protected. For those who update manually, they can click the search button and type “Windows Update” to access the update tool. The systems that are not affected such as Windows XP.
