Spirited Away dominates the Chinese box office, earning 195 million Yuan

You may have a friend in Toy Story, but it’s Spirited Away that takes the #1 spot at the Box Office in China.

In its first theatrical screening in China, Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away took the top spot on its June 21st release earning 195 million yuan (about 3 billion yen or US$28.36 million) from Friday to Sunday.
