It was revealed on the television anime adaption’s website revealed a new visual and the show’s staff for the Paru Itagaki’s BEASTARS manga on Saturday.
If you’re not familiar with this manga, it takes place in a world filled with Herbivores and Carnivores, there is hope, love, and of course anxiety. A wolf named Legoshi, a member of the Cherryton Academy’s Drama Club. Even though he is a wolf, he is also very sensitive. It follows Legoshi and his adolescent life and the life of the other Animals.
Shinichi Matsumi, (Assistant Director for Pom Poko and Porco Rosso and the Episode Director for Rurouni Kenshin and The Rage of Bahamut Genesis) will be directing the anime at CG anime studio Orange which made Animes such as Dimension W and Land of the Lustrous. Nanami Higuchi (Little Witch Academia, Ninja Slayer Animation) will be writing the scripts. Nao Ootsu, (who was firearm designer for the saga of Tanya the Evil, the Sub-Character designer for Banana Fish) will be in charge of designing characters. Eiji Inomoto is known for (Kan Colle, Ghost in the Shell: Arise) will be the CG Chief Director. Satoru Kousaki (Wake Up, Girls!, Oreimo both seasons, Monogatari Series Second Season) is composing the music.
Other staff members include Minami Kuribayashi as art director, Ken Hashimoto as color designer, Shiori Furushoas director of photography, and Junichi Uematsu as editor.
The anime will Fuji TV’s [+Ultra] programming block in October, and will stream exclusively on Netflix.
