The cat’s out of the bag! The Kamen Rider MY-TH press event in Tokyo revealed new details about the upcoming series— including an expanded cast list, two new trailers, and the return of veteran tokusatsu writer Naruhisa Arakawa.
That is right, Naruhisa Arakawa will be returning to helm this new series as the head writer. This will be his first return to the franchise in 26 years since Kamen Rider Kuuga.
The first trailer served as a teaser for what fans can expect in the new series, which included a first hand look at Rider X-Eggs and the Driver add-ons for the MY-TH Driver. The second trailer revealed MY-TH going up against MAOU and the other members of the Zyunishi Doumei. Kamen Rider MY-TH is scheduled to debut on TV ASAHI in September, after the series finale of Kamen Rider Zeztz.
Newly Announced Cast:
Tatsuomi Asao– Hayate Ataka
Tatsuomi is Yuna Mizuki’s private tutor. He meets Sora and the others after becoming caught up in a battle between MY-TH and a Fukashigi.
Although he was originally hired as Yuna’s tutor, circumstances also lead him to serve as an outside adviser to the Mysterious Case Study Club that Yuna established. He is dependable and often looks after those around him.
His serious personality usually clashes with Sora’s. However, when the two manage to work in sync, they can display outstanding teamwork.
Tigre/Kamen Rider TIGRE– Shunya Kaneko
Tigre is the tiger of the Zyunishi Doumei, where he can transform into Kamen Rider TIGRE.
He is highly perceptive and serves as a dependable older brother figure. However, because fighting the Fukashigi is a matter of life and death, he can sometimes be severe.
He and Kamuri are longtime friends who have supported one another for years.
Datt/Kamen Rider DATT– Nanako Ando
Datt is the Rabbit of the Zyunishi Doumei, where she can transform into Kamen Rider DATT.
A talented “Moga” (モダンガール,Modern Girl) who has exceptional hearing, which helps her to detect the appearance of the Fukashigi.
Confident in her speed, she constantly measures her time using a pocket watch. She is deeply devoted to Kamuri.
Jyao/ Kamen Rider JYAO– Kosei Tsubokura
Jyao represents the snake of the Zyunishi Doumei, where he can transform into Kamen Rider JYAO.
He possesses formidable combat abilities. By attacking continuously with his sickle and the longest tail of any Doumei member, he gives the Fukashigi no opportunity to fight back.
He believes that strength is everything and has sworn loyalty to Kamuri.

What is the Zyunishi Doumei (Twelve Animal Signs)?
The Zyunishi Doumei, also known as the Twelve Animal Signs, is an organization of zodiac-based Kamen Riders dedicated to fighting the Inexplicable— a mysterious race of supernatural monsters and entities tied to unexplained phenomena like sudden disappearances and strange audio disturbances. Originating from a century ago, each of the members have re-awoken in the present day in order to protect humanity from their mortal enemy.
Leading the Zyunishi Doumei is Kamuri Minetaka (who can transform into Kamen Rider MAOU), who has risen from slumber in the modern era, transcending 100 years. His goal of beating the Inexplicable also shared by Sora Otosumi— yet Kamuri’s irreconcilable sense of justice clashes fiercely with Sora. He transforms into Kamen Rider Maou in order to keep My-Th in check. Taking the classic game of Cat vs. Mouse to a whole new level. The trailer also teased three additional Riders, the sheep Rider Mutn, the rooster Rider Kei, and the dog Rider Vanken.
Aside from the addition of Naruhisa Arakawa as head writer, the staff consists of Shojiro Nakazawa serving as the Pilot Director, and Satoshi Fujita as the Action Director. They will be joining Takehiro Ohkawa (General Producer, TV ASAHI), and Producers, Keisuke Shibataka (TV ASAHI), Naomi Takebe (Toei), and Yousuke Minato (Toei). With the original story by Shotaro Ishinomori. On July 26, it was announced that EXILE TRIBE group THE RAMPAGE would perform the opening theme song, titled “One Shot.”
Kamen Rider MY-TH (仮面ライダーマイス) is the eighth Reiwa-era series, following predecessors such as Zeztz, Gavv, and Geats. Created by Shotaro Ishinomori, the Kamen Rider franchise (仮面ライダーシリーズ) launched its first television series in April 1971, sparking the Henshin Boom and spawning sequels, films, manga, and anime that shaped Japanese superhero storytelling. Fans can currently watch Kamen Rider Zeztz on TV Asahi’s Super Hero Time block Sundays at 9 AM JST, with Western audiences streaming episodes on Tokushoutsu’s YouTube channel.
The series follows Sora, who presides over the Mizuki household in their secret mission to defeat the Fukashigi. But the Twelve Animal Signs, awakening from a century-long sleep, have also dedicated themselves to this task. And somehow, their leader is a cat. The battle between cat vs mouse begins!
