Ryo Sumiyoshi’s Si Land (シランド) has shared an updated schedule, revealing that the series’s chapters will be taking a break for one month while the team works on the third volume— which is set to be released in Japan on September 9th.
In addition to production work on the third volume, the schedule also observes Obon (お盆) a traditional Japanese period to honor the spirits of one’s ancestors. Regular chapters will be paused, with the manga’s thirteenth chapter being split into two parts.
Important Note: The bonus story featured in the collected volume and Chapter 13’s second part may have had their dates swapped.

What is Si Land?
Si Land takes place in a world where dogs rule the only continent, having built a mighty kingdom, while the cats have scattered across the vast Great Sea.
Living as nomadic raiders, the cats repeatedly loot dog ships and settlements, breeding a deep mutual hatred between the two species that has led to years of bitter strife. Meanwhile, on a small island in the Great Sea lives a young dog named Jean. Unconventionally born at sea and raised by a cat, he travels between islands with his mother Rosa and his adoptive father Azul. Jean dreams of finding a permanent home where the three of them can finally live together in peace. But their fate changed forever the day…
Written and illustrated by Ryo Sumiyoshi (MADK, Our Torsos Align: Human x Monster Love, ASHIDAKA -The Iron Hero, Centaurs), Si Land (シランド) was first serialized on Kodansha’s Digital Manga Platform, Comic Days on August 25, 2025—where it debuted at No. 1. The series is currently ongoing with new chapters released every Monday. Additionally, Kodansha publishes an English Simulpub on its KMANGA platform, with chapters released every other Sunday.
