After five years, Kouji Miura’s Blue Box (アオのハコ) has come to an end. This coming of age sports romance manga’s 250th chapter was published in this year’s 33rd Issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump.
The 250th chapter included a beautiful color spread page, and went out with a widely-celebrated high note. The finale was met with praise for bringing a satisfying closure to Taiki and Chinatsu’s wholesome romance, leaving them with an uplifting outlook at their future. The new chapter is available to read now on Viz Media’s Shonen Jump and Shueisha’s Manga Plus Digital Manga platforms.
Blue Box (アオのハコ) was written and illustrated by Kouji Miura. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine from April 2021 to July 2026, with its chapters collected in 26 tankōbon volumes as of July 2026. As of May 2026, the manga has over 10 million copies in circulation. Since its debut, it has gained the attention of fans for its unique story and wholesome romance, receiving the the Global Special Prize at the 2021 Next Manga Awards and placed fourth in the Nationwide Bookstore Employees’ Recommended Comics of 2022.

In February 2022, Viz Media announced that they had licensed the series in print format, both Viz Media and Shueisha simultaneously published the series and chapters on the Shonen Jump and Manga Plus Digital Manga platform. An anime television series adaptation produced by TMS Entertainment and animated by Telecom Animation Film aired on Netflix from October 2024 to March 2025. The TV Anime will be getting a second season, animated by Electric Circus and set to premiere in October 2026.
