According to Box Office Mojo, Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe (機動戦士ガンダム 閃光のハサウェイ キルケーの魔女), the second film in the Hathaway trilogy, earned $820,038 in its U.S. opening weekend and ranked #13 at the domestic box office.
The film was screened across 894 theaters across the United States, earning an estimated $424,606 USD on Friday, followed by an estimated $226,990 USD on Saturday, and $168,442 USD on Sunday.

Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe opened on January 30, 2026, in 365 theaters across Japan. The film was delayed from its original 2025 target release. It debuted at No. 1 in its opening weekend, selling 511,500 tickets and earning 849,068,760 yen (about $5.43 million USD) in its first three days.
The film has earned a cumulative total of 2,303,090,620 yen (about $14.49 million USD), as of March 1st. This new box office total makes the second Hathaway film the No. 4 Gundam film at the Japanese box office, after 2024’s Mobile Suit Gundam Seed FREEDOM with 5,301,101,120 yen ($34 million USD, which includes the Special Edition Screenings), the 2025’s Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-, and 1982’s Mobile Suit Gundam III: Encounters in Space with 2.3 Billion yen ($1.47 million USD).

According to Anime News Network, the main cast and most of the staff returned from the first film, but Yuichi Kuboki joined Takako Suzuki as a color key artist. Yoshinori Sayama is credited for display designs after contributing to the first film. Finally, Yoshihisa Ōyama is the new film’s compositing director of photography, and Manabu Kamitōno directed the visual effects.
Hathaway Noa’s fight against the Earth Federation continues, culminating in a terrorist attack on Adelaide’s government conference. Gigi Andalucia remains crucial, her influence embodying the “witch” figure.
