On April 3rd, 1971, Kamen Rider made his heroic debut on TV screens across Japan, created by the King of Manga himself — Shotaro Ishinomori! From one grasshopper warrior to an entire army of Riders battling evil, the franchise has grown into one of the biggest in the world — and today we’re celebrating its 55th anniversary with huge new announcements! One of the biggest announcements was the reveal of a new Rider, Kamen Rider MY-TH, and the reveals such as new Heisei Rider Projects and more.

We’re starting the coverage with the unveiling of the new logo for Kamen Rider’s 55th Anniversary. Kamen Rider began as a Television series that premiered on Aprl 3rd, 1971 to February 10, 1973, on Mainichi Broadcasting System and NET (what is now TV Asahi). The manga adaptation would be serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine around that same period, the television series led to spawned a boom in toksatsu shows, leading to be Toei’s first commercialized series. The new logo that was released for its 55th anniversary features the first Kamen Rider, riding on Cyclone with the Anniversary’s numbers and Go Go! In red and teal, a tribute to the Television Series’ opening theme. The new memorial video highlights the Franchise from the very beginning with the first Rider, up to Zeztz. A letter from Akira Odonera, the eldest son of Shotaro Ishinomori and the current president of Ishimori Productions, the company founded by his father. Shinichiro Shirakura from Toei joined the celebration and shared exciting updates on the franchise’s future. He emphasized that Kamen Rider isn’t just about the TV series anymore — they’re expanding strongly into movies, games, and more. As part of this push, Toei revealed plans for three brand-new labels that will be detailed later in the presentation. The momentum keeps building worldwide! Since its international launch, Kamen Rider ZEZTZ has achieved simultaneous releases in 14 regions. It racked up over 4.5 million views in China within just 48 hours, hit 3rd place in trending topics across Latin America, and became the first Japanese tokusatsu series to reach such milestones. In North America, initial viewership surpassed 100k, and broadcasts have now expanded into the Middle East as well. Four New Cast Members Revealed for Kamen Rider Zeztz’s Second Half

Speaking of ZEZTZ, four new voice actors will be joining the cast as the Gore Nightmares. Joining as CATASTROM Gore Nightmare will be Hiroaki Hirata (One Piece, Sword Art Online, Kamen Rider Wizard), Saori Hayami (Spy x Family, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, The Irregular at Magic High School) as PHANTOM Gore Nightmare, Jun Fukuyama (Code Geuss, Assassination Classroom, Ressha Sentai ToQger), and Junko Takeuchi (Naruto, Welcome to Demon-School, Iruma-kun, Digimon Adventure) as OBLIVION Gore Nightmare. Another voice actor will be joining the show, but his role has not been revealed yet. Koichi Yamadera. (Cowboy Bebop, Ranma 1/2, Lupin the 3rd Part IV), the ZEZTZ Driver‘s System Voice Actor will appear on the show.

Kamen Rider ZEZTZ Prepares For His First Summer W-Feature

While the details are scarce at this time, Kamen Rider ZEZTZ and Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity will be starring in their very first film in a W-Feature Movie! This also marks the first summer without a Super Sentai film, which the series will be on hiatus. It will be, however P.R.O.J.E.C.T RED’S first summer film. The W-Feature will debut in theaters across Japan on July 26th.
