The finalists have been announced Sixth Annual Global Demand Awards. The Global Demand Awards recognize the world’s most in-demand TV shows, films, and talents across 30 different categories. For the first time in its history, the awards will showcase the world’s top movies and rising stars of 2023.
The Most In-Demand Overall TV Series in the World for 2023 included Attack On Titan, Jujutsu Kaisen, One Piece, The Last of Us, and The Mandalorian, Among the Children’s Television Category was Dana Terrace’s The Owl House, a TV animated series that has garnered praise for its animation, humor, characters, themes, emotional weight, and LGBTQ representation. It was the first Disney property to feature a same-sex kiss involving its lead characters and non-binary characters. Terrace shared her excitement on Twitter, thanking fans for their support, and noting that it was up against three well-known staples in the animation industry such as Peppa Pig, Spongebob Squarepants, Paw Patrol, and Sesame Street.
