In July 2022, I had the honor of interviewing Magnus Edlund, the founder of the Animation Group, Speedokaggen. The animation group has announced that part two of the TMNT: The Last Ronin Animation is in production.
It’s hard to believe that it has been eight months since Speedokaggen unveiled the first part to the world, and it has garnered 3.9 Million Views. Now, the animation group has announced that it has begun work on part two and shared a special teaser trailer on its social media accounts and YouTube.

It wasn’t the only TMNT animation the animation group produced. Speedokaggen also made a special promotional video for the second issue of TMNT: The Last Ronin- The Lost Years. The variant cover was drawn by Artist Ben Bishop and is available now on his website.

The Animation Project was a non-profit project made by the Swedish Animator Group out of love for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. While there isn’t a date announced for this new animation, it is something for fans to look forward to in the future. Be sure to check out Speedokaggen and support their work. As for the TMNT: The Last Ronin book series, there are plans for a video game adaption. Here are places you can find Speedokaggen and how to support their work:

“Who is the Last Ronin? In a future, battle-ravaged New York City, a lone surviving Turtle embarks on a seemingly hopeless mission seeking justice for the family he lost. Eastman and Laird are joined by writer Tom Waltz, who penned the first 100 issues of IDW’s ongoing TMNT series, and artists Esau & Isaac Escorza (Heavy Metal) and Ben Bishop (The Far Side of the Moon) with an Introduction by filmmaker Robert Rodriguez! Collects the complete five-issue miniseries in a new graphic novel, an adventure as fulfilling for longtime Turtles fans as it is accessible for readers just discovering the heroes in a half-shell.”
