Manga Creators Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe have plenty to celebrate today. Their Manga Series, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, has reached a new sales milestone, and the anime series revealed new information and a trailer.
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End reached a new sales milestone. It traveled past 8 million copies (both digitally and in print.) which is up from 7.2 million copies in September 2022. Accompanying this announcement was a brand-new cover for the upcoming volume, set to be released in Japan on March 16th.

Next was a brand-new update for the upcoming anime series Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End. It will be directed by Keiichiro Saito, who made his directorial debut in BOCCHI THE ROCK and will be the director, with Tomohiro Suzuki writing the series composition. Reiko Nagasawa handles the Character Design, and Evan Call is the music composer. And finally, MadHouse will be handling the animation production. Atsumi Tanezaki (Spy x Family, My Hero Academia) will be joining the cast as the immortal Frieren. Shogakukan serializes the manga in their Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine, Viz Media releases the manga for English Audiences.
After the party of heroes defeated the Demon King, they restored peace to the land and returned to lives of solitude. Generations pass, and the elven mage Frieren comes face to face with humanity’s mortality. She takes on a new apprentice and promises to fulfill old friends’ dying wishes. Can an elven mind make peace with the nature of life and death? Frieren embarks on her quest to find out.
