What is a Hero? What is Justice? And What does it mean to be Ultraman? These are the questions that burn in Shinjiro’s mind as he faces the most dangerous moment in his life as Ultraman.
The moment everyone has been waiting for is coming, the final season of Netflix’s Web Anime Series, Ultraman, is getting ready to premiere in Spring 2023. Based on the manga series by Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi, Shinjiro, who has a nightmare, begins to have problems with keeping his abilities under control and contained. After he lost control of his power, the city was destroyed, and people were hurt.
Soon, Society begins to call ULTRAMAN a Disaster for Mankind, and suddenly, the hero has become the target of condemnation. Now, Shinjiro stands alone after losing everything, finding himself in the middle of a maelstrom of fate. Unbeknownst to him and in the shadows of confusion, a mysterious alien force moves in secret.
In addition to a new trailer, a new visual, and two new cast members will be joining the final season. Voice Actors, M•A•O (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, Ultraman Trigger: New Generation Tiga), and Koji Ishii (Major, Akame ga Kill, Toriko). M•A•O will take on the role of Valcure, and Koji Ishii taking on the role of Mephisto. Both actors shared their excitement and comment on Tsuburaya Productions’ recent announcement.
I’m MAO and I was chosen to play the role of Valcure. Valcure is captivating, and yet I also feel she is a little endearing, too. I’m happy to be able to play such an interesting character! Keep an eye out for how she impacts the story of this series and her unique combat style in the action scenes. Please look forward to it!!
To think that I would act in the iconic Ultraman series! As a fan of the science-fiction series Ultraman, since it first aired, there is no honor greater than this. I wish I could boast about it to my younger self. This modern anime ULTRAMAN feels more real in its portrayal than the original years ago. I implore you to watch and see for yourself how much we have captured the original sense of fear you experienced as a child.
The Final Season sees the return of Co-Directors, Kenji Kamiyama, director of the STAND ALONE COMPLEX series, and Shinji Aramaki, creator of APPLESEED, with animation co-produced by Production I.G and SOLA DIGITAL ARTS. With the final season set to premiere in Spring, both seasons are available on Netflix.
