The Second Sword Art Online Progressive Film will be coming to the United States and Canada. Crunchyroll and Aniplex have announced that they will bring the sequel film to theaters on February 3rd, 2023. But that’s not all. It will screen in the United Kingdom, and Ireland on February 1st. And Australia and New Zealand on February 2nd.

Sonic Frontiers Crosses 2.5 Million Copies in Sales Worldwide

The Official SEGA Twitter account announced on Monday that Sonic Frontiers has crossed 2.5 Million Copies in sales worldwide, and most recently, the company will release more new content for the game for free next year.

Hayao Miyazaki’s How Do You Live? To Debut In Japanese Theaters in July 2023

Studio Ghibli announced on their Official Twitter Accounts (in Japan and North America) that Hayao Miyazaki’s latest feature film, How Do You Live, will be coming to Japanese Theaters on July 14th, 2023. Studio Ghibli also mentions that more information about the film and its premise will be revealed at a later date.

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection to be released in April 2023

Yesterday, Capcom unveiled a brand new trailer for the upcoming video game series Mega Man Battle Network Legacy and announced not only a release date but also new features for fans to enjoy. Players will have a chance to battle with either friends or other players online in the long-awaited NetBattles and collect Battle Chips. Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection will be available on April 14th, 2023. Also, another special treat for fans is the chance to rewatch Mega Man Battle Network Anime Series. Seasons 1 and 2 of the Mega Man NT Warrior animated series will be re-released for free on the Capcom USA Twitch channel and uploaded to the Mega Man YouTube channel in early 2023.

Greg Capullo Makes His Return To Marvel After 30 Years.

According to GamesRadar, Superstar Comic Book Artist Greg Capullo has confirmed that he will be making his return to Marvel Comics, first as a cover artist, and “plans” for a new project at the publisher. GI Joe and Transformers Have Left IDW

Another shocking announcement, IDW Publishing has had a long-standing license to publish comic books based on Hasbro’s successful toy lines GI JOE and TRANSFORMERS, but the license seems to have ended. In a new tweet from IDW editor David Mariotte, it would seem that in addition to promoting TRANSFORMERS: Shattered Glass II Issue No. 5 it was not only the final Transformers Issue for 2022 but the final Transformers Comic with the publisher. It was announced in December 2021 that Robert Kirkman’s Skybound Imprint from IMAGE Comics was in talks to pick up the license. For more on this story, GamesRadar has further details.

Viz Media Raises Shonen Jump Service’s Subscription Price to US $2.99

Yesterday, Viz Media announced that it would be increasing its monthly subscription price for its English Shonen Jump service from $1.99 to $2.99 beginning in January 2023. The Manga Publisher also announced that it would no longer support website subscription payments through PayPal beginning on January 17th, 2023.

SSSS. GRIDMAN and SSSS. DYNAZENON each gets a Compilation Film Before GRIDMAN Universe Premiere

It was recently announced that both SSSS. GRIDMAN and SSSS. DYNAZENON would be both getting a Compilation film, Gridman’s film is scheduled to premiere in Japan on January 20th, while Dynazenon’s film will premiere on March 10th. The final portion of our Week In The Nerd Fandom is Crunchyroll’s Winter 2023 Lineup. The Streaming Service has announced both its Sub and Dub lineup coming up this winter. Bringing new shows such as TRIGUN STAMPEDE and returning shows such as VINLAND SAGA SEASON 2 for fans to enjoy.
