He was a man of many talents, A Professional Wrestler, a Martial Artist, a Politician, and a Promoter of Professional Wrestling and Martial Arts. Antonio Inoki was one of the most popular and respected wrestlers in Japanese Professional Wrestling. Today’s announcement is regarding an epilogue story that is featured in this year’s 47th Issue of Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shonen Champion.

The person writing this story was Keisuke Itagaki, the creator of Baki the Grappler. The character named Kanji Igari will be featured in an epilogue story that will serve as a memorial for the late Antonio Inoki. Inoki passed away on October 1st due to systemic transthyretin amyloidosis.

The Memorial Epilogue Chapter will launch in the 48th Issue of Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shonen Champion on October 28th. Akita Shoten’s Manga Cross published the chapter for free on October 6th as an initial memorial for Inoki which included the complete nine chapters of Baki The Grappler Gaiden (Outside Story) manga, which features the fight between Kanji Igari and Mount Shōhei Toba. The Outside Story series was first published in 1999.
