December 2021, it was first announced that both SSSS Gridman and SSSS Dynazenon would be brought together for a new film titled Gridman Universe. Today, there is new information on the upcoming film, the official website has been launched and the film will be released in 2023.
The film will be directed by Akira Amemiya. The production team from the SSSS.GRIDMAN and SSSS.DYNAZENON series will be returning, with a screenplay by Keiichi Hasegawa, character design by Masaru Sakamoto, and music by Shiro Sagisu. Listed below are the characters that have been confirmed to appear, so far:
- Hikaru Midorikawa as Gridman
- Yūya Hirose as Yūta Hibiki
- Yume Miyamoto as Rikka Takarada
- Sōma Saitō as Shō Utsumi
- Junya Enoki as Yomogi Asanaka
- Shion Wakayama as Yume Minami
- Yuichiro Umehara as Koyomi Yamanaka
- Chika Anzai as Chise Asukagawa
To commemorate the announcement, a teaser visual of Yuta Hibiki, who was one of the main characters in SSSS.GRIDMAN was released. SSSS. GRIDMAN and SSSS. DYNAZENON is available to watch on Crunchyroll.
