Three days ago, the Spy x Family Editor, Shihei Lin, revealed on Saturday the updated numbers for the manga, showing just how much the series has grown, detailing its readership on the Japanese Shonen Jump+ digital platform and release numbers for the collected volumes. Spy x Family has had over 350 million reads on the Shonen Jump+ digital platform, with over 17 million copies of the collected volumes printed (physically) and sold (digitally).
A day later, Lin would reveal that the series has surpassed that, with over 18 million copies printed (physically) and sold (digitally). The increase is thanks to the reprinted volumes of the series, which went on sale recently in Japan with a new obi wraparound band announcing the milestone. The previous number was likely from the last reprinting, which occurred late last month.
Spy x Family has been doing well even before the anime launched, after the launch it would pick up a Stage Musical, Loid posing for the fashion magazine, anan, and Yor being voted for BookLive’s “Most Desirable Mother/Wife”.
You can catch the Spy x Family anime series on Crunchyroll and Hulu. And read the manga on Viz Media’s Shonen Jump App, website, Shueisha’s Manga Plus App and Website, and Shonen Jump+.
