This year will be the 25th Anniversary of Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece manga series, and today, there was a treasure trove of content coming our way soon. The action begins with the monumental announcement that Showtime’s Yellowjackets star Peter Gadiot has been chosen for the role of “Red Hair” Shanks. A brand new logo for the 25th Anniversary of One Piece, a first look into the new One Piece TCG line, and finally, the reveal of a new JRPG Video Game titled, One Piece Odyssey.

Actor Peter Gadiot joins the new One Piece Live-Action series as Shanks, the Chief of the Red Hair Pirates and the one who inspired Luffy to become a Pirate. If you’re not familiar with Gadiot, let’s catch you up to speed, Peter Gadiot starred in the 2013 series, Once in Upon a Time as Cryus, the USA Network series from 2016, Queen of the South as Jack, the DC Comics/CW Series Supergirl as the Nefarious, Mister Mxyzptlk, and the recent series from Showtime called Yellowjackets as Adam.
“Hey Luffy, Stop Being A Pirate!” A Mysterious Girl graces the newest visual for One Piece Film: RED!
Teased in the original teaser trailer, this mysterious girl has graced us with her presence as the first character poster for the new film. Nothing else was revealed, except for what was written on the poster, which translates to “Hey Luffy, Stop being a Pirate!“.
New Episodes of One Piece is on the way on Netflix!
One Piece fans, rejoice! There will be more anime episodes coming to Netflix soon, according to One Piece News, new episodes of One Piece will be coming to Netflix starting May 22nd, currently, the streaming service has four seasons and three movies. It will be available in the following areas:
- United States
- Canada
- Australia
- New Zealand
- The Republic of South Africa
- Latin America (Including Brazil)

The last announcement of the News Event was Bandai Namco’s newest One Piece Video Game, One Piece Odyssey, this bold new adventure is being touted as the first JRPG of the One Piece Franchise. Pokémon Brillant Diamond and Shining Pearl developers, ILCA are spearheading the game with Bandai Namco producing. The game is set to be released later this year on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. The best part about this game? One Piece Creator, Eiichiro Oda wrote an Original story for the game!
