Square Enix has confirmed that due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, the development of Final Fantasy XVI will be delayed by “Almost a Half Year,” and the next big reveal would take place in Spring 2022.

Final Fantasy XVI Producer Naoki Yoshida went on Twitter about the development being delayed and apologized that he and his team couldn’t keep their promise to show more footage of the much-anticipated next entry in the Final Fantasy series.

  1. We have the see the game for what it is, not what it’s implying to be. If the other episodes were never never made and this is the only game we got as a ff7 remake, this would be considered lackluster. We’re not rating the whole remake collection. We’re rating this single stand-alone experience. 8/10 is a pretty fair score.
