Big news coming from Seven Seas, the Manga Publisher announced yesterday that they have obtained the physical publishing rights for Ken Wakui’s Yanki Sci-Fi Manga, Tokyo Revengers.

Kodansha, who publishes the title digitally across multiple platforms, Seven Seas will be publishing the Manga in a 2-in-1 Omnibus Paperbacks, formatted for a beautiful oversized trim with all-new lettering. An exclusive Barnes & Noble limited edition of the Vol. 1-2 omnibus with a variant cover and double-sided foldout poster will also be released on the same day for the same price. The Omnibus will be available in May 2022.

A Freeter named Takemichi Hanagaki, a 26-Year-Old who hasn’t done anything with his life then one day he heard on the news that his middle school girlfriend Hinata Tachibana, and her younger brother Naoto was killed by the notorious Tokyo Manji Gang. Takemichi is later at a train station when his luck couldn’t get worse he is pushed in front of a train, where suddenly gets transported 12 years into the past, where it is 2005 and he is a Middle School Student.”

  1. This is pretty exciting. I hope we’ll see more titles released this way, as there are a number of series in Kodansha’s digital-only catalogue that I’d like to see in print some day.
