Yesterday, fans were surprised to find that Akihito Tsukushi’s Made in Abyss will be getting a Second Season and a brand new 3D Action RPG Game that will be available on the Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. First, let’s take a look at the announcement regarding the Second Season, according to Rafael Antonio Pineda of Anime News Network that the Official Website was the first to break the news about it, the second season would be premiering in 2022 titled “Made in Abyss: The Sun Blazes Upon the Golden City (Made in Abyss: Retsujitsu no Ōgonkyō)” it was also accompanied by a brand new visual:

Next up, the announcement from the Video Game Developer Spike Chunsoft for the brand new video game called “Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness (Made in Abyss: Yami o Mezashita Rensei)” while it will be available on the PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam), but it will be available in both North America and Europe but Europe would be getting a Physical Version of the game from Numskull Games. According to Crunchyroll’s Joseph Luster, the game takes place “many days” after Riko and Reg head into the Abyss, and follows a nameless Cave Raider on a unique adventure. It will task players with descending into the deadly Abyss, where they can both experience the story of the anime as well as an original story supervised by Akihito Tsukushi. Plenty of familiar characters will make appearances throughout, and the event scenes are all fully voiced by the anime’s cast. The Teaser Website is officially live, it is set for a 2022 release, here are several screenshots from the upcoming game:
