Eight days ago, I wrote an article about the NPD Data for December that ICv2 reported on, now there has been a follow-up on new data from the holidays; ICv2’s Brigid Alverson mentioned that according to the new data, Consumers were gravitating to Backlist Author, Manga, and Superhero graphic novels highlighted in data (11/29/20-1/2/21) that dated during the end of November, up to January 2nd, 2021.

For Superhero Graphic Novels, we saw Fourteen DC Titles making up most of the Top 20, Five Marvel titles (Would like to point out it was mainly Star-Wars Titles, most likely response regarding the height of Season Two of Disney Plus and Lucasfilms hit series, The Mandalorian.) Only one independent title was on the Top 20 Superhero Graphic Novels, and that was Oni Press’s Rick & Morty: Dungeons & Dragons.
