Sakata Gintoki’s Yorozuya picked up an odd job, this time it was to debut at No. 1 at the Box Office, according to Anime News Network’s Rafael Antonio Pineda that the newest Gintama Film titled Gintama: The Final has dethroned the Conquering Film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba The Mugen Train after its Twelve Week Reign at Japanese Box Offices.

The film opened in Japan last Friday. The film is based on the finale of the original manga, combined with new story elements.

Gintama: The Final sold 384,220 tickets for 531,350,320 yen (about $5.1 million) over its first four days (a holiday weekend with Japan’s Coming of Age Day on Monday). It sold 113,278 tickets for 156,002,340 yen on Friday, 114,158 tickets for 162,233,520 yen on Saturday, 90,177 tickets for 125,259,980 yen on Sunday, and 66,607 tickets for 87,854,480 yen on Monday.
